Generally speaking, the pixel range of common industrial borescope on the market is between 400x400 and 1920x1080 (i.e. 1080P), and some high-end devices can even reach ultra-high pixels of 4K.However, the choice of pixels is not the higher the better, but needs to be determined according to specific detection needs.
When choosing, you can roughly determine the required pixels based on the diameter of the borescope. For example:
If the diameter is between 0.1mm and 1mm (not including 1mm), you can choose a 10,000-pixel borescope.
If the diameter is between 1mm (inclusive) and 2.8mm (not including), it is recommended to choose a 160,000-pixel borescope.
If the diameter is between 2.8mm (inclusive) and 6mm (inclusive), it is recommended to choose a 1 million-pixel 720P borescope.
If the diameter is between 6mm (not including) and 8.3mm (inclusive), it is recommended to choose a 2 million-pixel 1080P ultra-high-definition borescope.
In addition, for the detection of tiny cracks and defects, it may be necessary to choose an industrial borescope with 5 million pixels or even higher pixels.
